The doors can be configured with different split ratios, including:
50/50 split – two equal-width opening sections for a traditional garage door arrangement.
1/3 to 2/3 split – one smaller section can be opened independently, providing convenient pedestrian access when you don’t need to open the full garage door.
This configuration can be particularly useful when the garage is used as a workshop, gym, home office or for general storage.
Insulated 40mm panels
Beretta side hinged garage doors are constructed using 40mm solid insulated interlocking panels, providing a robust garage entrance with useful thermal insulation.
The insulated panel construction can help make the garage more comfortable where the space is used for more than simply storing a vehicle.
Security and practical operation
A side hinged garage door provides both a physical barrier and a visible deterrent, with optional locking arrangements available to suit the installation.
The doors are manually operated and are fitted with a door stay as standard. This helps prevent the door leaves from swinging when the garage is being used.
The outward-opening design also means that there is no need to accommodate a roller curtain or overhead sectional door mechanism inside the garage.
Windows, glazing and louvred panels
Side hinged garage doors can be customised with a range of design options.
If you want additional natural light or visibility, glazing can be incorporated into the door. Options include clear, frosted and satin glazing, allowing the appearance and level of privacy to be tailored to the property.

Unlike roller and sectional overhead doors, the door leaves open horizontally rather than travelling upwards. This makes side hinged doors particularly useful for garages where overhead storage, pipework, lighting or other obstructions would make a vertically opening door difficult.
They can also be a good option where you want to retain as much usable internal garage space as possible.
